The Blooms of Esteem
Workshop Overview
Audience: Women of all ages, from tweens to seniors
Objective: To create awareness about yourself and how you “show up” each day in the best way possible.
Benefit: Self-awareness increases chances for improved performance, greater career satisfaction, and an overall sense of contentment.
Length of workshop: 1-1 ½ hrs.
Each day we step in and out of different roles, for example, you might play the role of spouse, parent, office professional, and boss all in one day. At the foundation of all these roles lies a “sense of self”, an understanding of who you are, in other words, the strengths you already possess.
In many instances, we do not realize how important self-awareness is and what a positive impact it can have in our personal and professional relationships. We have been told to “improve our weaknesses” without really concentrating on the strengths we already have.
In my work as a leadership and personal lifestyle coach, I often find that individuals operate on “autopilot” when it comes to “showing up” each day. That means they show up without realizing how they have opportunity each day to make an impression or impact. This workshop will explore nine characteristics called “the blooms of esteem” that help you know who you are; those strengths that you bring to the table. For example, one bloom of esteem is the word courage. Courage is about doing something you think you cannot do, like having a difficult conversation with someone like your best friend or boss.
In addition, this workshop focuses on participants identifying four words (let’s call them the seeds for growing) and how they impact the nine Blooms of Esteem.
Additional Option:
This workshop could be divided into 3 workshops of 1 hr each:
- The Blooms of Esteem: Part I (The first 3 blooms of esteem identified)
- The Blooms of Esteem: Part II (The second 3 blooms of esteem identified)
- The Blooms of Esteem: Part III (The third 3 blooms of esteem are identified)
