Audience:  All levels of management and anyone in a team leader position.

Objectives:  Audience will learn how to:

  • Identify the qualities/characteristics of best leaders/worst leaders.
  • Identify the 25 EQ characteristics and why they are important in becoming a more effective leader.
  • Develop an awareness of the importance of self-development as a leader through coaching and getting feedback from direct reports and the coach.
  • Identify and incorporate the three tiers of leadership* into your daily plan.
  • Use a Focus/Energy Model as a time management tool on working on what’s important, not urgent.
  • Identify the three criteria** that create success in the workplace and how to use them effectively.
  • Identify the six key barriers to effective 2-way communication.
  • Using the listening skills to enhance 2-way communication.

  • Become professionally savvy by “managing up”.
  • Identify the value you bring to the workplace and maximize it to create a win/win for yourself and the organization.
  • Develop a 30-second commercial on how you contribute value to the workplace.

  • Define what your life markers mean to you.
  • Answer questions based on your chosen life markers to focus on how to incorporate the life marker into your daily routine.
  • Maintain your retirement garden on a daily basis.
